My good friend and painting buddy Julia G. and I found this church while spending some time in Santa Fe. I've learned since that it's not a secret, a lot of people know of it. It was so windy that day that we could only take pictures. I did quite a bit of redesign from the pic, starting with flipping the image as I felt it made a stronger design. I removed a old beautiful hand built rock wall that runs along the front but prevented the viewer from entering the picture. Moved brush and crosses around, only wanting to add some interest but not take away from that church and the wonderful light falling on it.
