I found this beautiful little pumpkin squash along the fence line in an open space I walk frequently with Violet. I'm guessing it escaped under the fence of someone's garden. I brought it home and it's been sitting on my counter for a month waiting for me to paint it. I tried a different lighting setup. Rather than lighting from the side or above I set the light below the setup and slightly off center. It cast a hard shadow behind the squash and the cup. Photographing this painting was a bear. It's still not correct. The cloth appears more green when it actually leans a bit to the blue side. The front face of the table (cloth) is lighter, more lit in reality. @sheilamarieart I found this beautiful little pumpkin squash along the fence line in an open space I walk frequently with Violet.
