Spent a couple hrs. in a field close to my home last night with Lucyna. Lots of sunflowers! I set up to paint pretty quickly while Lucyna spent a lot of time walking through the tall grasses, taking pics of the sunflowers, insects and birds a plenty. Starting around 7:00 pm it was crazy how quickly we were losing light. By 8:15 I couldn't even begin to see what I was mixing. Funny, I got this home and the design is almost a dupe of another painting I did a couple of years ago at totally different location but nearly the same time of day and lighting. I wish I'd taken a pic of Lucyna's. She painted a square format of a few sunflowers up close. Really came out nicely. Spent a couple hrs. in a field close to my home last night with Lucyna.
