Last week I spent a few days up and around Central City. I served as a judge with Lorenzo Chavez for the Central City Plein Air Festival which was Awesome! I had planned on painting several paintings while I was there. Instead I just walked miles each day exploring the area, walking up the hills there are so many beautiful old historic homes. Hiking trails beyond Central City took you into groves of trees and then open spaces. I've always been intrigued with old cemeteries. Everything haphazardly placed in the middle of beautiful countryside. I spent almost an hour there before it started to get too dark to read the headstones.
