When I fell in love with Poppies. I was maybe 10 yrs. old and on a Girl Scout camping trip. The poppies grew in a field close by. We were to each chose a flower we liked and that would be our token during the trip. We painted our chosen flower on our little hand stitched pads made of table cloth vinyl and whipped stitched around the edges. We used our pads to sit on around the campfire at night. I chose the Red Poppy and ever since I've loved them. These are on the corner of a street that Violet and I walk by frequently. I look forward to it each time. Love these Red Poppies!@sheilamarieart
