Painting with painting buddy Lucyna at the Stone House in Lakewood. There's a great trail that follows Bear Creek river with lots of beautiful trees, willows and in the distance our mountains. With all of that we decided to stay up near the historical Stone House. Lucyna chose a beautiful big cottonwood alongside the House. I fell in love with two statues that are close by. This guy holding his fishing pole, worm can at the ready was backlit with just the edges of the statue being hit by the sun. I simplified the background a bunch. The boy is the star of the scene.
