Green Horse COVID Response Abstract is an acrylic painting I did at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic lock down. Like many people, I was worried and scared by all the negative things that were being reported. And, being an artist, I used my emotional response to make a couple of abstract paintings. This one uses imagery and symbology to set a scene of death and destruction sweeping through a city. The title of this work is "A Green Horse" and it was painted by me, Gregory Cross. on March 24, 2020. I used Golden heavy body acrylics on an Artist's Loft stretched cotton canvas. The painting is varnished to an satin finish using Golden water based varnish. The included frame is a black wood Ambiance gallery frame. The painting is framed and will be ready to hang the instant you unpackage it. I usually get a painting in the mail the next business day after you buy it, but I always ask for 2 days just in case. Though I try very hard to get the colors in the photos as close to the actual painting as I can, they may still be slightly different from the physical painting. Digital cameras don't pick up certain colors very well and often change the look of a painting slightly. So, understand that the photos are edited.
