Occasionally I like to paint a scene with a ship. Not my normal landscapes but I did apply my landscape techniques to the island. I intended this to be a bit impressionistic so did not use a great deal of detail. Plus, I intentionally selected the orange hull to contrast with the blue of the water. Title: Behind Rock Island Artist: Gregory Cross Date Painted: September 29, 2019. Description: This is an original acrylic nautical seascape painting of a frieghter moving behind a rocky island. Materials: It was painted with Golden heavy body acrylics on a 9 inch tall x 12 inch wide Blick premiere stretched cotton canvas. Notes: The painting is signed G Cross on the front, and has the artist's full signature, painting number, and the date it was painted on the back.
