Bell pepper unframed watercolor still life is a painting I did in the autumn of 2020. I did a batch of still lives between Halloween and Thanksgiveng based on peppers, squash, and pumpkins. Although I am predominantly a landscape painter, about 15 % of the paintings I create are still lives based on various subjects. As an artist, I do not want to get locked in to one style or one genre, though from a marketing perspective that would be best. No, I like to paint whatever catches my fancy, so I do the occasional still life.

The title of this painting is "Pepper Trio" and it is an original work painted by me, Gregory Cross, on November 9, 2020. I used Daniel Smith Extra Fine Watercolors on a 12 inches tall x 9 inches wide sheet of Arches 140 lb, cold press watercolor paper. It is signed G. Cross on the front and has my full signature, contact information, date painted, and painting number on the back.

Though I try very hard to get the colors in the photos as close to the actual painting as I can, they may still be slightly different from the physical painting. Digital cameras don't pick up certain colors very well and often change the look of a painting slightly. So, understand that the photos are edited.
