Mount Jefferson Cascade Volcanic Arc is a painting in the Ring of Fire series I created in early 2020. The subject is a stratovolcano in the high cascade mountain range of central Oregon state. Near Redmond, Oregon, Mount Jefferson is the northern most volcano of the Three Sisters Volcano complex and is the most remote mountain in Oregon. Named for the 3rd United State's President Thomas Jefferson, the mountain is the second tallest in the state of Oregon and lies within Linn, Jefferson, and Marion counties. The title of the painting is "Mount Jefferson" and it was painted by me, Gregory Cross, on March 9, 2020. Painted with Golden heavy body acrylics on a 16 inches tall x 20 inches wide Artist's Loft stretched cotton canvas. The painting is varnished with Golden water based satin finish varnish. The frame is a black wood Ambiance Gallery frame which is 17.25 inches tall x 21.25 inches wide x 1.5 inches thick. I usually ship a painting the next business day after your purchase but please allow me 2 days handling just in case. And I try very hard to get the colors in the photos as close to the actual painting as I can, but they may still be slightly different from the physical painting. Digital cameras don't pick up certain colors very well and often change the look of a painting slightly. So, understand that the photos are edited. Thank you for taking the time to view my painting and read this description. Mount Jefferson Cascade Volcanic Arc is a painting in the Ring of Fire series I created in early 2020.
