Media: Acrylic Stretched Belgian linen canvas
Size: 11x14 in
Blue on red geometric abstract painting is of a loom shuttle passing between the threads of the warp. But the beauty of abstract is it can be whatever you see in the painting. I enjoyed creating this piece and I have always liked it. I wouldn't say it is my most favorite, but it is in the top 10. Artist's have love-hate relations with their work and I have created a bunch I am not fond of, but this one is kind of special for some reason. Titled "The Shuttle" it is an original work painted by me, Gregory Cross, on May 10, 2019 with Golden heavy body acrylics on a Centurion LX stretched linen canvas. The sides of the canvas are painted and the painting is varnished so you can hang it without a frame. Hanging hardware is already attached so you can hang it immediately. I normally get a painting in the mail the next business day after purchase, but always ask for 2 days just in case. Though I try very hard to get the colors in the photos as close to the actual painting as I can, they may still be slightly different from the physical painting. Digital cameras don't pick up certain colors very well and often change the look of a painting slightly. So, understand that the photos are edited.
