Media: Watercolor Artistsz' pigments on canvas board, masked border
Size: 12x9 cm
This is painted on canvas-wrapped board, a ground I've not used before. I learned a couple things about it that differentiates it from paper ground. Water does not absorb or dry as quickly on board. The pigments are not absorbed into the surface as completely as with paper, sitting on the surface and blooms are formed as the pigments slowly dry. Using a drier brush keeps pigments brighter. It's interesting to work with and I'll try more paintings using canvas board.
