We live at the base of these mountains in the summertime. The mountain in the center, Horn Peak, is 13,450'. I've never been to its summit but may try someday. The thin oxygen makes hiking painful and I have to go really slow at that altitude.
I was sitting at the park in town when I painted this towards the end of the day. The clear sky and late summer sun made the peaks glow as I looked to the west.
