Not my favorite pear to eat, but most certainly lovely to gaze upon. Always plump, nicely green with shades of blue and plum, shiny and ovoid, they have much to visually recommend them. However, they can't be relied upon to be sweet or juicy. The pears shown here are ripening, we hope they will be, at least, good if not fabulous.
