Media: Pen and Ink Micron Pen on Strathmore Bristol, graphite, signed titles and dated on back.
Size: 4x6 in
Micron pens are easier to control than the dip pen used in DC164. They come in a variety of weights from very fine to wide. They respond to pressure, making a darker line when pressed. Their line is fairly predictable compared to a dip pen. I think a dip pen requires a lot more skill to render the same inage. I'll be working more with dip pens in order to master them. I want too improve my skill in making monochromatic botanical drawings, hence this excercise in Daily Cats with pens rather that brush and ink. You might ask, so why not draw plants instead? I don't know, really....I want to draw cats right now.
