The telephone pole is at the center of the painting, connecting all the sundry parts within and outside the painted view. Buildings and vehicles are from the last century, the colors are burnt and rusted against a turquoise sky, it's late spring and the Sangre de Cristo Mountains in the background still have snow. The painting is of a small town in the heart of Colorado.
