Iris blanket the grasslands whenever there's enough water in the fields of Colorado. They like it cool and damp with sunshine. I like their blossom flags in the ditches and swamps filled with spring rain, they form a sea of blues, purples and whites contrasted against golden hills and deep green mountains.
