Media: Artists’ pigments on 300# cold press watercolor paper
Size: 12x9 in
We were driving up from Ft. Lauderdale on Easter eve and stayed by this creek in Virginia. I used Schminke granulating pigments. These tend to be very understated in terms of vibrance, their strong suit being the wonderful variation of chroma in a single color, i.e. there's a green/red color. That combination makes for both natural and lively color rendering. I love it. I perked it up with a bit of Qor Modern Watercolors, used for over-washing.
