This is number 7 of my Golden Series of works after turning 50.
I’ve watched the game probably since I was 6 or 7, that’s about 40 years now and I know all the great teams had great mangers or coaches. I’ve been observing Klopp for a while now, and I want to know his mindset, his methodology, his mantras, his philosophy…..because whatever he told those Liverpool players at half time against Villarreal when they were literally against the ropes needs to be studied, admired and celebrated. It completely gave them a new lease of life and a totally different shape. Unai Emery, the opposing coach couldn’t believe it, it looked like his tactics, game plan and strategy had been snuffed out- that’s the masterstroke of a genius.
NB- I don’t support Liverpool but I know greatness when I see it.
