On a recent trip to the Big Sur area, we were ready to leave an amazing restaurant with gorgeous views, perched on a California cliff side (the Rocky Point Restaurant). When I could finally get myself to look away from the ocean because I had to get in the car, I was surprised to find that there were also beautiful views behind me. This painting is based on photos I took as we were leaving and I’m reminded to follow the advice I gave my children and “look both ways”. Happy Weekend!
