One of the best things about living in middle Tennessee is the proximity to a large Amish community where anyone can visit their farms on any day but Sunday, and purchase directly from the farmer an assortment of fresh produce, jams & jellies, homemade bread from a woodburning oven, and handmade items such as birdhouses, furniture, dog beds, toys, etc. But you have to rise early to get there in time to purchase eggs. Good farm eggs go quickly. Early bird gets the farm eggs.
