Haden Pickel taught a fabulous "Fast & Furious" workshop in which we had to complete a painting in 20 minutes by simplifying and painting only shapes and values. I'm continuing to study the technique using for reference classic paintings from the great masters. This painting is a simplified "Fast & Furious" painting of Edward Potthast's "Children Playing at the Seashore." It took a little longer than 20 minutes, but there are no details. I love it!
