My heart and soul live among the American Impressionists of the early 20th century. I love their style, subject matter, raison d'etre. This year I'm leading my students through all the reasons to love the American Impressionists and one of those reasons is their love of wild, unkempt gardens. They were even known to scatter seeds everywhere they went just to cultivate more messy, wild clusters of blossoms and blooms.
