I'm preparing for an upcoming Chestnut Group show in the Parthenon at Centennial Park, Nashville, Tennessee, at the end of the month. I painted this one from a photo I snapped on a beautiful, sunny, yet chilly morning back in March when the forsythia and cherry trees were in full blossom. I love the looseness of the strokes and the minimal details added. I tend to add too much to my paintings and I'm working on only including the essential to each scene.
