I've always wanted to challenge myself by studying an Anders Zorn painting using his limited palette or White, Vermillion, Yellow Ochre, and Ivory Black. It's misinformation that he strictly adhered to this palette, evidence by the 17 tubes of Cerulean Blue paint inventoried when Emma, his widow, passed away and Zorngarden, their home and studio, was donated to Sweden in their joint will. The "Zorn Palette" is best used for portraits and nudes, but we attempted it by studying one of his rare botanical studies "White Lilies" from the 1887 original painted in Kew Gardens.
