One of my favorite additions to the garden is the Quince. And it's only by dumb luck I have it. And mean really DUMB.
After a trip to Natchez, MS, to spend time with my friends Kitty and Scott, we ventured over to St. Francisville, LA, to visit Kitty's ancestral home. Kitty's gardens are worthy of a magazine spread and at each of the family houses there is always something new to discover. At this home were Persimmon trees and Camillia bushes. And I had to get some. So when I returned home I immediately went shopping at a local nursery to purchase what I thought was Camilia. However, it is indeed Quince. Now I love Quince.
