Behind every romantic story is the reality. I don't often post the more unsightly views of Windy Acre Cottage, but when you live in a 100-year-old cottage, fixing a leaky roof takes priority over an ugly, yet functional, window AC. Always. But the ugly (yet functional) window AC is my morning view from the patio. Every. Single, Day. It's like an annoying fly that won't leave you alone on an otherwise glorious picnic. This morning I painted my imaginary view of the same window. Still white, but with no AC, new glass, a window box, and profusion of orangy-red geraniums. Just like the imaginary one beside it.
