As you go into the weekend, I wish you a 'Happy Flower Friday'. I also want to remind you that beauty is not optional. Beauty is intrinsic...i.e. something that belongs naturally in your life, is essential, a thing that is necessary. When you see flowers, you are reminded that someone, somewhere cultivated and cared for them in order for them to exist. They cannot exist in the midst of war, where everything is being destroyed. They cannot exist in a place of neglect...where no one is feeding and watering them. So perhaps...we are drawn to flowers because we are reminded, (maybe just on a subliminal level) that everything and every one is made beautiful by being nourished and attended to.
