As summer dissolves into Fall, yes there will be dormancy and dying, but alongside that, so much beauty glimmering at us...if only we look closely. I am thinking of the way a Ginko tree leaves turn acid yellow against increasing purple skies. I am thinking about the 'bones' and architecture of trees that become 'exposed' to us. I am thinking about the "summer homes" (nests) of birds, who leave their carefully crafted bungalows for us to observe as they head south. I am thinking about the abundance of seeds and pods that are the generously offered for feathering OUR winter nests, decorating our holiday packages, and just generally leading us to meditate on form and transformation. In the dissolving of one season of your life, look for glimmers of a different beauty and your transformation.
