"More Cross Pollination" This little interior with 4 lamps made me think about the amazing weekend I had last Sat. Sun. with long time friends. The four lamps represent my husband and me, my friend and her 50 year old daughter (who has just finished raising HER four children, and is on the precipice of something new). We were 4 people who have 'been through some life'. It was SO rich. We had buzzing bees of ideas flying around, we drank coffee and talked, we ate dinner and stayed at the table for HOURS (my idea of heaven, no one got up to clear, we just kept talking). We went to church at a three hundred year old church out in the desert (and whispered to each other during the sweet mass), we talked for two hours one night in the warmed up pool, then we moved to my studio and talked beauty, graphics and words, and how to put them together. In other words, we spent the weekend, with no agenda, just rolling around (like bees covered in pollen) in the "glorious ordinariness" of each other. Heaven.
