Happy Valentines Day. It's a day to celebrate and help our women friends by taking clueless V-day shoppers in hand, and steering them toward a better choice. For example, in this still life I depicted hot pink lacquered chopsticks. I think everybody would prefer a beautiful and functional gift like that, vs. a big round heart of 'mystery' or 'take a gamble' random chocolates! Ugh! And if you DO end up with random-ass chocolates from a lazy valentine, you could use the chopsticks to poke them in the back, and if the filling looks iffy, and put them back in the box 'unblemished'. Orrrr, like my sweet (sometimes clueless) husband you can take advice from the Whole Foods checkout lady. He said that he approached her with a little bouquet...and she said, "Those are good, I'll hold them here, while you go to the back of the store where there are some gorgeous Ecuadorian roses at a much better price."!!! Well, he did as directed and I ended up with heaps of gorgeous orange roses on my dining room table this morning!" All because a woman gave advice, and a smart man listened.
